Butter TartsI have been told many, many, mant times these are the best Butter Tarts by friends, family and customers at the Farmers Market. Won't say they are the best but they are very delicious.
3/4 cup of softened butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon white vinegar
2 well beaten large eggs
Cream butter with sugar and mix in the remaining ingredients. Do not over beat. Fill tart shells with desired amount of raisins and fill shells 3/4 full. Bake 350F middle rack for 22 minutes. Cool and remove from pans. Makes about 18 tarts. Enjoy.
Use you favourite pastry recipe for the shells. I have always used Tenderflake Lard and the recipe on the box. It has yet to fail me. 评论 (2)
